Journal of Theoretics Information/Notices

http://www.journaloftheoretics.com/

The Journal of Theoretics, Inc is a non-profit organization devoted to the betterment of mankind by enabling scientific advance by developing the field of theoretics and dispersing scientifically credible theories and information to the scientific community and population at large.

We [...] take advantage of the internet in the review and publication process. An initial evaluation will be done and if the article is acceptable the author will be notified in about 2-4 weeks via email. Each article is initially sent out for a field specific review and unless major flaws found at that level, the article will then be published after the author and editor are satisfied with the final article. An article could "theoretically" be published within several weeks of being received but the average time from being received to publication is about 2-3 months. Of course any editorial changes will be submitted to the author for approval prior to publication.

Publication on the internet will also allow the author to use hyperlinks to allow access to relevant data. Hyperlinks can be used in the main text of the article or in the bibliography. Your article will be indexed and archived for unrestricted public access in perpetuity at no cost to you the author. Additionally, because the Journal is copyrighted, your intellectual property is documented and dated with a permanent copy of the Journal being on file and registered with the copyright office. Additionally, your article will be submitted to the appropriate scientific reference libraries and article search engines. Again at no charge to the author.

The Journal's editor is committed to establishing the Journal of Theoretics as a premier Journal with the prestige that should be so accorded. As an author you will benefit from this commitment to scientific quality and visibility with funding agencies, tenure committees, and international colleagues. The Journal will also send out email information about each new article to its mailing list (we continually update our mailing list of professionals from a broad range of fields) as well as updating the copyright, scientific reference libraries, and article search engines every two months.

 Review process

Unlike most journals were the theory has to be validated or invalidated by the article, the Journal of Theoretics must use a different process due to the nature of the subject matter. Because a theory by definition is a hypothesis not yet proven, we must show that the premises, logic, or use of language of the article submitted contains a significant error in order for a rejection to occur. We will assist the author in correcting any minor errors prior to publication. Even if an article is rejected it may be resubmitted if significantly modified.

We want to work with the author in order to create the best work possible. The Journal of Theoretics and the disciplinary field of Theoretics will someday be recognized as a major step forward in science and we want the historical record to be something that we all are very proud to have been a part of.

Request for peer reviewers (every discipline):

Because the articles submitted may be narrow or broad in their focus, we have a constant need for reviewers who are versed in their area of study as well as reviewers who have a good grasp of multiple scientific disciplines. Because Theoretics as an area of scientific study unto itself is new, a good grasp of logic and scientific analysis are the two main requirements. Submitted papers will be directed toward reviewers for both an analysis of the logic as well as to reviewers for an analysis of the fundamental concepts of that scientific discipline.

The benefits of being a reviewer for the Journal of Theoretics include: Gaining recognition as a charter reviewer. You will be benefiting this new area of science as it is being formulated into a formal discipline. Articles submitted by reviewers will have a fast track review. The rigor of evaluation will be the same but the review process will almost be halved in time. We are currently averaging 2 months from submission to publication which is still about 3 times faster than most journals. All we ask is that you review any submitted paper within 2 weeks of receiving it and that you have an email address. We will utilize the internet as much as possible to improve the quality and timeliness of the journal.

If you are interested, just email us at mail@journaloftheoretics.com with your name, email address, and brief summary of your qualifications (you may just attach a CV/resume to the email if desired).
